Fitting glazing bars

Sheerlite glazing bars and hip bars are connected using two bolts. This is to ensure a safe and robust structure under all conditions. This is especially important where bars are connected directly to the joint of two eaves beam sections - having two bolts means that each bolt is fitted into a proper hole in the end of each section of eaves beam.

Factory fitted pre-set captive bolts
Bolts are already fitted to the correct positions on the eaves beam and ridge, this makes assembly of the roof faster and simpler whilst still creating a solid properly engineered structure.

No awkward internal packers
The internal face of glazing bars have square shoulders to avoid the complicated of unsightly gaps, or need for packers, where the bars meet the eaves beam and glazing support trim. This guarantees a neat weather tight finish whilst saving time and effort.

End cap with concealed fixings
Glazing bar end caps incorporate a concealed stainless steel plate to prevent the glazing material from moving or slipping - consequently glazing packers are not necessary, so saving time and effort. Injection moulded decorative plastic covers simply slide into position to produce a very neat, robust and discreet finish that avoids ugly screw fixings or cover caps.
